meet tedd wetherbee:

Practical leadership for working families, small businesses, and the future of the 26th District.

Tedd Wetherbee is a business owner, community member, and father raising his family in the 26th Legislative District.

"I want to be remembered as someone who went to Olympia not to build a political career, but to solve real problems.

I want to be someone who works to bring people together, not to divide them. Someone who listens, who learns, and who represents everyone in this district—not just those who think like me.

Above all, I want to be a leader who protects the rights and freedoms of every individual, and who makes decisions based on common sense, without blindly following any political party.”

Raised in a large family with an immigrant mother from Nicaragua, Tedd learned early the values of hard work, resilience, and responsibility. Spanish was a central part of his upbringing and continues to shape his connection to community today.

While attending Florida State University, Tedd launched his first small businesses, building a foundation in entrepreneurship that would shape his career.

In his early twenties, Tedd worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, traveling globally and gaining firsthand experience with complex challenges and the resilience of people around the world.

He later spent a decade in Lagos, Nigeria working on infrastructure and energy projects, including power systems and solar-powered lighting for underserved communities. During that time, he built successful businesses focused on economic development and sustainability.

“I’m running to give back to the community that has given so much to my family.”

After returning home, Tedd built multiple businesses in Washington State and today employs members of the local community.

Tedd and his family have built their lives in Gig Harbor. They are deeply connected to the schools, neighborhoods, and people that make this district strong.”
